Built as an art object, not a product. Join its WiFi, watch the room through someone else's hands, and take a photograph that never leaves the device.
Visitor connection guide ↓The shell comes off our own printers in Georgetown. Pink upper over smoke-grey lower is the house configuration, or choose a different material colour for either side. Every WUW CAM is assembled by hand, and no two are quite identical.
OV3640 at 3 megapixels or OV5640 at 5 megapixels, paired with the ESP32-S3 platform. Both versions run the WUW interface; the OV5640 carries more resolution while the OV3640 retains a rougher early-digital character.
A 2.4-inch touchscreen running the camera's own small operating system: viewfinder, gallery, skins, and a first-person game called BWO. You can use it without a phone anywhere near it.
A TP4056 charger and an MT3608 boost converter, so it lives off a battery through a long night and takes USB-C when it's spent.
There is no upload path. Not a disabled one — no parameter, no buffer, no code that could send an image anywhere. What the camera sees stays on the SD card in your hand.
WUW CAM carries its own private network. Join it to see the live camera, change its look and release the shutter from your phone.

These are rendered from the shipping firmware and the webpage embedded in the camera itself. No concept UI and no remote app.
The device and output above are direct captures from the working WUW CAM. They are not generated product renders.
Deterministic 320 × 240 captures built from the exact layout, palette, labels and state map in the shipping panel firmware.

Captures from the BWO preview build, which runs the same world, art and rules as the game on the camera. The TFT view imitates the camera's own low-resolution software renderer; photographs of the game on the hardware will follow.

WUW CAM is a camera that gets passed around. Put it in a room and it makes its own WiFi network. Anyone who joins sees what the camera sees, live, on their own phone — and can reach in and change it.
Fifty-two GPU effects run in the viewer's browser, beside six fast looks that run on the camera itself, so a roomful of people can each be watching the same moment through a different lens. Someone presses the shutter. The photograph lands on the card, and nowhere else.
There is a game inside it. BWO — Body Without Organs is a first-person world drawn on the camera's own glass, and you play Q, a crimson-haired pilgrim in a pale fur-collared coat with a camera of their own in hand. Walk it by touch, gather memory crystals, shoot the organs that guard each of its three levels, then build it over with walls of your own. Paint those walls with photographs from the card, and what the camera has seen becomes the architecture. Worlds are saved to the microSD, and nowhere else. See the game.
It was built for our own nights, and it behaves like something that has survived them: if a subsystem fails, it degrades to a working camera rather than taking the device down. Recovery over cleverness.
Two of them in the same room find each other. WUW LINK fires a synchronised shutter across both, so one moment gets two angles, or one camera pulls a frame from the other.
Every unit is printed and assembled in Georgetown. Select each PETG shell independently, then send the configuration as a preorder request.
